Hide another layer of content directly in the video layer. Hidden messages that you cannot see with the naked eye bt which people can access by taking still photographs of the TV screen (or as is currently in development, eye wear that allows the wearer to see the messages). This could provide an opportunity for interactivity - allowing viewers to see "secret messages" or collect clues for an alternate reality game connected to the TV programme.
